The Role: Performance Director

As Performance Director, you’ll lead enterprise-level CRO and digital strategy programs, managing key accounts across North America. This role is not just about client relationship management—it’s about acting as a trusted strategic consultant and thought leader, helping clients leverage data, experimentation, and personalisation to maximise performance.

You’ll need a strong analytical mindset, deep subject matter expertise in CRO, and the ability to translate insights into action. You will be the driving force behind our clients’ growth strategies, running high-impact CRO programs, designing A/B testing roadmaps, and providing expert consultation on optimising digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic CRO & Digital Performance Consulting

  • Own and lead the end-to-end CRO strategy for enterprise clients, acting as their trusted advisor on performance marketing and digital optimisation.
  • Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses to uncover user friction points and identify high-impact conversion opportunities.
  • Design and manage robust A/B testing programs, personalisation strategies, and experimentation roadmaps to enhance digital performance.
  • Guide senior stakeholders and C-suite executives through CRO best practices, helping them make data-backed decisions.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring clients receive cutting-edge recommendations and insights.

Client Relationship & Consultancy

  • Lead the onboarding and strategic roadmap for new clients, ensuring they are set up for success.
  • Maintain strong, consultative relationships with existing clients, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance their CRO and digital strategy.
  • Develop and present compelling performance reports, translating complex data into actionable insights that influence decision-making.
  • Deliver high-impact presentations, facilitating workshops, and educating clients on CRO methodologies, customer psychology, and digital growth strategies.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

  • Collaborate with UX, development, data, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of CRO recommendations.
  • Brief and oversee platform enhancements, website optimisations, and testing strategies, ensuring all initiatives align with the overall growth objectives.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making within Convincely and across client teams, ensuring a culture of continuous learning and iteration.

Business Growth & Expansion

  • Identify opportunities to expand Convincely’s offerings within existing accounts, pitching additional solutions where they drive value.
  • Influence product and service evolution by providing insights from client engagements, shaping Convincely’s approach to conversion optimisation.

What We’re Looking For

8+ years of experience in performance marketing, CRO, digital strategy, or consultancy roles.

Strong expertise in conversion rate optimisation, including A/B testing, data analytics, and behavioural insights.

✅ Proven experience in leading enterprise-level client engagements, driving measurable results.

Consultative mindset—you can think critically, challenge assumptions, and develop tailored strategies for each client.

✅ Advanced analytical skills, with hands-on experience in Google Analytics (GA4), A/B testing tools (Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize), heatmaps, and session replay tools.

✅ Exceptional storytelling and communication skills—you can turn complex data into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

✅ Experience managing cross-functional teams, working with UX, development, and marketing teams to execute digital growth strategies.

✅ A passion for data-driven decision-making and thought leadership, keeping up with the latest trends in CRO, marketing strategy, and SaaS-based digital experiences.
